Description:

Mechanical properties: carbon fiber filled PTFE ring increases the hardness of PTFE and reduce cold

flow or creep. Tensile strength and elongation usually are reduced depending on the filler type and

percentage.

Thermal properties: carbon fiber filled PTFE ring increases thermal conductivity and also reduce liner

coefficient of thermal expansion then increase thermal dimensional stability.

Type of filler Graphite:

1. Extremely low coefficient of friction

2. Chemically inert

3. Usually incorporated with other fillers such as glass or carbon

4. Increases wear resistance especially against soft metal

Inorganic filler: carbon fiber, Bronze, Glass fiber, etc

This carbon fiber filled PTFE rings are widely utilized into oil free air compressors. Most of rings are made

of self-lubricating materials such as virgin PTFE and filled PTFE compounds like carbon filled PTFE and

graphite filled PTFE, etc. All above grades are available

Chemical properties

Carbon fiber filled PTFE ring: it can resistant to almost all of the hydraulic medium, solvents, and various

chemical mediators, has a very low coefficient of friction, no creeping phenomenon. Ozone resistance,

weather resistance is excellent
